Spinach Soup Soup by Monica Uppal Popli - April 4, 2016October 1, 2022 Spinach Soup Print Recipe Course SoupCuisine Indian Ingredients 200 gms Spinach1/2 onion3 garlic cloves1 tsp salt1/2 tsp white pepper powder2 tsp olive oil2 tsp butter1/2 cup resh cream (whipping cream)2 tsp cornflour Instructions Wash, discard the thick stems and chop spinach leaves and the tender stems.Boil for about 10 minutes, strain and keep aside.Coarsely chop onion and garlic.Fry using 2 tsp olive oil.Grind together the fried onion, garlic and boiled spinach.Melt butter in a pan and lighlty brown the cornflour on a medium flame.Add the pureed spinach mixture, salt and pepper powder.Cook for about three minutes stirring in between.Pour in the cream, reduce flame to low and let cook another minute.Serve hot. Notes Instead of cream you can use whole milk.
