Ingredients
- 1 cup whole wheat flour [Atta]
- 1 cup ghee [clarified butter]
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 2 tbsp chopped nuts [almonds, cashews and pistas]
- 1 tbsp raisins
- 3 1/2 cup cups water

Instructions
- Mix sugar and water in a pan. Boil and keep aside.
- Heat ghee in kadai (wok).
- Add the flour and roast till the flour become brownish. Keep stirring frequently.
- Sprinkle in the raisins and incorporate them well into the mixture.
- Now add the water sugar solution into the kadai slowly, stirring continuously.
- Cook for a few minutes till the halwa leaves the sides of the kadai.
- Garnish with chopped nuts and serve immediately.
Recipe Notes
- The flour is done roasting when it emanates a Strong aroma which can be smelled from another room.
- To avoid lumps stir well while adding water and sugar solution.
