Mix the dry ingredients for pakodas
Add enough water to make a thick paste and whisk well.
Deep fry the pakodas and keep aside
For Kadhi mix amchur, besan and water.
In a pan placed on stove on high heat pour the cooking oil.
When the oil becomes hot add fenugreek seeds, cumin seeds, fennel seeds, crushed coriander seeds followed by salt, turmeric, red chili powder and asafoetida powder.
Pour in the besan-amchur mixture.
Keep stirring.
Let it boil for 8 minutes.
Add pakodas and let it come to a boil.
Serve hot with steamed rice.
