Wash and cut the parwal length wise into four pieces.
In a pan heat oil and saute onions till brown.
Add methi leaves, saute for five minutes.
Sprinkle salt, red chilli and turmeric powders.
Toss in the parwal pieces.
Cover the pan and cook on medium flame for about 30 minutes till the parwal is tender. Stir in between.
Serve hot with chapati or naan.
